Casting Call: Anglo-Saxons needed!

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who's working on this film:

MAORI FILM S.R.L. is looking for genuine anglo-saxons (both male and female of any age) interested in working as extras on the upcoming production “TUTTO L’AMORE DEL MONDO” to be shot in Rome from April the 20th on.
Only people from the EU or people with a valid permesso di soggiorno may apply.
Please send a full figure picture, your stats & contacts to: maoricasting@gmail.com

So I guess Jutes, Celts and Vikings need not apply? How about Picts?

Sorry- but I always get a laugh out of how Italians call us English speaking peoples "anglo-saxons" as if we were all descended purely from anglo-saxon stock.

Hahah, your guess is as good as mine. I just copy & pasted my friend's request.
I think at this point, they'd be happy with anyone who "looks" British... whatever that means!
You're tall with fair skin/hair- do it!! :)

I look really, really Swedish actually. So Swedish that Swedes come up to me in Rome and start asking me questions in Swedish (my dad is Swedish but unfortunately I don't speak a word!)

I always thought "anglo-saxon" in Italian included all English speaking peoples: British, Irish (I know!!!), Scottish, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealanders etc. Which is why it's so nuts as all of those countries are huge immigrant cultures - and in the case of Ireland it's just kind of offensive.

I also wondered what does an anglo-saxon person look like?
Blonde hair? Blue eyes? I saw native Italians like that.
